Spicy, creamy and tangy goat cheese balls rolled with Kalamata olives, rosemary, chili flakes and crushed peppercorns — an easy to make and delicious appetizer

Ingredients:
  • 9 oz (250 g) soft goat cheese
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped Kalamata olives
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried red chili flakes
  • 1 teaspooon very finely chopped fresh rosemary
  • 1/2 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon fresh ground black pepper
  • 2 teaspoons crushed mixed peppercorns (black, white, green, pink) for coating
Instructions:
  • In a small bowl, mash together the goat cheese, olives, red chili flakes, rosemary, salt and black pepper.

  • Roll into 1-inch balls. Sprinkle with little of the crushed peppercorns, rolling the ball around on the palm of your hand to coat. Chill for 30 minutes.

  • Serve with thin crackers or on their own.

Makes 16 to 20 1-inch balls

Thanks for dropping by Neen. I'm not sure exactly how I came up with the idea. I was just thinking goat cheese balls, did a few quick searches and then I thought, I must add olives.
