Spicy, creamy and tangy goat cheese balls rolled with Kalamata olives, rosemary, chili flakes and crushed peppercorns — an easy to make and delicious appetizer

Ingredients:
- 9 oz (250 g) soft goat cheese
- 1/4 cup finely chopped Kalamata olives
- 1/2 teaspoon dried red chili flakes
- 1 teaspooon very finely chopped fresh rosemary
- 1/2 teaspoon sea salt
- 1/4 teaspoon fresh ground black pepper
- 2 teaspoons crushed mixed peppercorns (black, white, green, pink) for coating
Instructions:
In a small bowl, mash together the goat cheese, olives, red chili flakes, rosemary, salt and black pepper.
Roll into 1-inch balls. Sprinkle with little of the crushed peppercorns, rolling the ball around on the palm of your hand to coat. Chill for 30 minutes.
Serve with thin crackers or on their own.
Makes 16 to 20 1-inch balls |

ReplyDeleteThanks for dropping by Neen. I'm not sure exactly how I came up with the idea. I was just thinking goat cheese balls, did a few quick searches and then I thought, I must add olives.
